These terms and conditions of use (the Terms and Conditions) apply to the entire contents of the FreeFlowInfo (FFI) Web Platform under the domain name app.freeflowinfo.co.uk (owned and maintained by Engagement in Education Ltd) and set out the terms and conditions on which you are entitled to use the FFI web platform. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the FFI web platform.

1.1 These Terms and Conditions are issued by Engagement in Education Ltd (the operator of the FFI web platform), whose company number is 6597278 and whose registered office is at 19 Saunders Croft, Walkington, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 8TG
- Purpose of the FFI Web Platform
2.1 FreeFlowInfo (FFI) is a Parental Engagement methodology and approach that has been developed by Engagement in Education Ltd. It uses a bespoke web platform to provide parents and wider family members with a steady, but not overwhelming, flow of information harvested from the work that teachers and pupils are already doing as part of their daily practice; offering a catalyst for regular, positive conversations at home about what the child has been doing in school. The platform can also be used by schools to inform the development of school improvement strategies.
- Accessing the FFI Web Platform
3.1 Engagement in Education Ltd reserves the right to make changes to the FFI web platform and these Terms and Conditions at any time and without notice. You should check this page on the FFI web platform from time to time to review the current Terms and Conditions because they are binding on you.
3.2 Access to the FFI web platform may be suspended temporarily and without notice, including in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for reasons beyond Engagement in Education Ltd’s control.
3.3 Engagement in Education Ltd shall not be liable if for any reason the FFI web platform is unavailable at any time or for any period, where the root cause of the unavailability is beyond Engagement in Education Ltd’s reasonable control
- Your use of the FFI Web Platform
4.1 You agree to abide by all applicable laws, regulations and codes of conduct / user guidance that may apply to your use of the FFI web platform and to be solely responsible for all things arising from your use of the FFI web platform.
4.2 You must not:
(a) do anything to damage, interfere with or disrupt access to the FFI web platform or misuse the FFI web platform in a way that may impair its functionality (such as knowingly introducing viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful); or
(b) obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to the FFI web platform, servers, computer systems or areas of our network which are identified as, or which you ought reasonably to be aware are, restricted by whatever means (including, without limitation, hacking).
Any breach of this provision will result in the immediate termination of your right to use the FFI web platform.
4.3 You are responsible for ensuring that your computer systems and equipment are capable of accessing and inter-operating with the FFI web platform and its contents. You are advised to virus check all materials and/or content accessed and/or downloaded from the FFI web platform using the latest commercially available virus checking software.
- Your use of the FreeFlowInfo Web Platform content
5.1 Uploads to the platform will vary in the nature of their content. Examples include:
- photos of classroom activity that involved your child
- pictures of objects that were used as the starting point for a lesson or a classroom-based discussion
- Short videos showing your child in some form of practical or performance activity
- Uploads that will capture an example of your child’s school work and the feedback provided by the teacher to inform achievement, progress and points for development
As a parent or Support, your child will be able to give you more information about them when you have your conversations. Although the FFI web platform allows you to write comments as soon as you view any uploads, it is more important to talk to your child about them. We recommend that you have the child with you as you look at their file, as they know that it is part of their role to explain things to you. Please refer to the FFI “Parents Guide” for full guidance as to how to use the FFI platform.
5.2 Uploads to the platform should only be used for the purposes of having regular, positive conversations at home about what your child has been doing in school. Care should be taken at all times to consider the content of photographs being uploaded to the platform and language used in any written comments. Items that are considered to be:
- Bullying or encourages bullying;
- Describes buying or selling drugs;
- Sexually explicit or abusive;
- Racially prejudice or abusive;
will be reported to the School Administrator with appropriate actions taken from that point.
5.3 Unless permitted by the school, no material uploaded to the platform from school should be copied or uploaded to any social media platform.
5.4 If you breach any of these usage provisions, your permission to use the FreeFlowInfo web platform may be suspended pending termination and you may be asked to immediately destroy any downloaded or printed extracts from the FreeFlowInfo web platform.
5.5 No trademark or logos featured on this website may be used or reproduced without the prior consent of Engagement in Education Ltd.
6.1 The material on the FreeFlowInfo web platform is provided on an “as is” basis and is for the purposes documented within these terms and conditions at 2.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Engagement in Education Ltd provides you with the FreeFlowInfo web platform on the basis that Engagement in Education Ltd excludes all representations, warranties, conditions and other terms including, without limitation, the conditions implied by law including, without limitation, any in relation to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose, freedom from error and absence of contaminants (such as viruses, trojan horses, worms or similar) which, but for these Terms and Conditions, might have effect in relation to the FreeFlowInfo web platform.
7.1 Nothing in the Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit Engagement in Education Ltd’s liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by negligence;
(c) fraudulent misrepresentation; or
(d) any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
7.2 Subject always to Clause 7.1, Engagement in Education Ltd, its associates and all other parties involved in creating, producing and delivering the FreeFlowInfo web platform exclude all liability and responsibility for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result to you or a third-party (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of data, loss of contracts or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise) in connection with the FreeFlowInfo web platform in any way or in connection with the use, inability to use or the results of use of the FreeFlowInfo web platform, including but not limited to loss or damage due to viruses that may infect your computer equipment, software, data or other property on account of your access to, use of the FreeFlowInfo web platform or your downloading of any material from the FreeFlowInfo web platform.
9.1 Your rights under these Terms and Conditions are personal to you and are non-transferable. Engagement in Education Ltd is entitled to assign its rights and benefits under these Terms and Conditions to a third-party.
10.1 If any court or administrative body of competent jurisdiction finds any provision in these Terms and Conditions to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions in these Terms and Conditions shall remain in force.
10.2 If any invalid, unenforceable or illegal provision would be valid, enforceable or legal if some part of it were deleted, the provisions shall apply with whatever modifications necessary to make it valid, enforceable and legal.
